IFA 2017, the largest technology fair in Europe, which took place last month, has brought great surprises to the world of technology. Mavic Pro Platinum and Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian
Drone manufacturer DJI introduced two new models at IFA 2017 in Berlin: Mavic Pro Platinum and Spark. The Mavic Pro selfie dronehas the features for those who use their drones for travel, photography and for those who love outdoor sports. Its battery lasts 30 minutes and the model is 60 percent less noisy. Its camera shoots videos in 4K, and the drone is equipped with an all-new transmission system with a 4.3-mile range and an obstacle detector of up to 49 feet of distance.
As for the DJI Spark, this is a small drone that can lift up from the palm of your hand. The innovative thing about this drone is that you can control it by hand gestures. Thus, the Spark drone can take pictures, record a video and even return to its starting point by means of commands. In addition, Digital Trends reports that the company also launched the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian drone.
According to the team at Digital Trends, the new Obsidian represents a regular version of the Phantom 4 Pro, only rebuilt in a stealthy, matte-gray shell. The drone has a fantastic appearance, designed with the same physical and camera specifications. Among the many features, Obsidian has a 30-minute flight time and a 1-inch-type sensor that allows shooting 4K videos at 60p.
Ricoh 360-degree camera
Ricoh wants to compete harder in the 360-camera market and the company confirmed that during IFA 2017 with the release of its new Theta V. This camera records videos and takes pictures in 4K resolution. It can record up to 40 minutes in 4K at five-minute intervals, has a free mobile app and 19GB non-expandable storage capacity. Its shutter speed is up to 1/2500 and reaches up to 3,200 ISO. According to Gizmodo, the camera will cost $ 430.
This would be Lenovo's most compact and lightweight notebook.
With a 12-inch screen, according to the manufacturer, the Lenovo 720 is the most compact laptop that has had the mark on the market. Its thickness is 0.62 inches and has a weight of 1.5 kilograms. According to Gizmotimes, the laptop will have a seventh-generation processor and would cost $ 649. Its release to the market would be in October 2017. In addition, Lenovo introduced the Yoga 920 with a 13.9-inch screen in 4K resolution. It has a touchscreen feature and three versions of RAM of 8 GB, 12 GB, and 16 GB. As for the hard drive in the Lenovo 720, its capacity goes from 256 GB up to 1 TB.
Asus’ First Augmented Reality Headset
Asus wants to integrate augmented reality into its line of products. That's why, at the IFA 2017 event, the company presented its first Windows Mixed Reality headset weighing 400 grams, with two cameras, a gyroscope, accelerometer, 3K resolution and a magnetometer. Wired reported that the headset would cost €499, which converted to dollars, that’s around $535. The exact release date is still unknown, but the Windows Mixed Reality headset is expected to be available for purchasing later this year.
Panasonic Artificial Intelligence Speaker
Panasonic will have its first speaker with artificial intelligence.
Panasonic entered the speaker market with artificial intelligence support at IFA 2017. The company introduced the SC-GA10, a Hi-Fi audio quality speaker. The company’s smart SC-GA10 speaker integrates Google Assistant, thereby it is capable of responding to the user’s voice commands. It supports applications like Google Play Music, Deezer, and Spotify. The smart speaker has an 8 cm woofer and two tweeters that allow it to reach a 180-degree directional emission. According to the company, main information on the speaker’s availability and pricing will be revealed this autumn.
IFA 2017 offered many exciting tech products. Although much focus is on consumers, there is much attractive news for companies where new products open up for new opportunities. At least for those companies daring to invest in new technologies and capture slogans like 360-camera, mixed reality, and the smart home/office segment.
