Hisense A2 Pro is another dual-screen smartphone that will totally amaze you!

Even after so many attempts made by different manufacturers, the concept of dual-screen smartphones never ceases to exert their charm. This was demonstrated by Hisense's proposal at IFA 2017 early in September, where the Chinese company presented its A2 Pro smartphone. A2 Pro is a very interesting model with an AMOLED display on the front and a black-and-white E-Ink screen on the back panel.

The author of this concept is the company Yota Devices, which released its first YotaPhone back in 2013. Meanwhile, Hisense first copied the concept of this device at the beginning of 2017 - then the Chinese showed their A2 model at a number of exhibitions.

Now it's time for an upgrade with the launch of the Hisense A2 Pro. For most of the features, the novelty resembles the YotaPhone 3, which is already selling in China.

The basic setting is the same as in the YotaPhone, the world’s first dual-screen smartphone. The front screen is used for normal phone functions, while the E-Ink - since it does not consume energy to stay on, but only when you modify the content - can be used to read documents, notifications, and any other objects you want to keep in mind.

The panels of the A2 Pro are of good quality and well-integrated with the design of the smartphone.

Speaking of display size, the front screen of the A2 Pro is AMOLED and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a diagonal of 5.5 inches. A second role is played by the 5.2-inch E-Ink back screen with 960 x 540P resolution. Both displays are touchscreen.

The hardware of the smartphone is composed of an Octa-Core 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU, working in pair with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM.

The internal storage capacity of the smartphone is 64 GB, expandable via microSD cards of up to 356 GB, which is inserted in place of the second SIM card. The A2 Pro smartphone is built with a support for 4G LTE, USB Type-C port and is powered by a 3,090 mAh Lithium-Ion battery. The dual-screen smartphone is running on the operating system Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

A2 Pro is equipped with a 12-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture that can capture 1080p videos at 30 fps.  The front camera is of 16 megapixels with which you can take quality selfies.

The hardware package of the A2 Pro is more than solid and should give you a good user experience, while the software that links the front screen to the rear, is quite intuitive.

With two taps on the screen, you can save screens or links, or open them instantly on the back, while the E-Ink screen can be set at will with a variety of widgets. These widgets include weather forecast, pedometer, passing through the latest news, calendar and notifications, which are activated when the phone is put on standby, or even used in place of the main screen, using the full version of Android in black and white but still operational.

The only downside of this unusual smartphone is the reflective coating of the E-Ink display, which on the one hand, provides adequate protection in the framework of the captivating design, but on the other hand, bothers in the presence of direct light sources.

The Hisense A2 Pro comes on sale with a price tag of 2599 yuan which equals to about $390. Thus, if you like the concept of a dual-screen smartphone, the A2 Pro is a great option for you.
