Microsoft Officially Released Windows 10 Fall Creators Update: Here’s What’s New In It!

Microsoft officially announced the release of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, presented in May 2017. The corporation released the major Windows 10 update after six months of pre-testing. Microsoft said that Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will be installed on more than 500 million devices worldwide. Starting from October 17, Windows 10 users from all around the world will gradually receive access to the new version of the operating system.

The update, first announced at Microsoft Build in May 2017, contains a range of new features that will help Windows 10 users open their creative potential, become more productive and achieve more.

Like the previous update, Fall Creators Update supports Windows Mixed Reality devices manufactured by Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung. When you connect the headset to the computer, you can play games and use applications with elements of augmented reality.

The Mixed Reality Viewer app will allow you to add virtual 3D objects to the real world, which you can get in the community of or create them yourself using Paint 3D. To create a drawing in Paint 3D, you must select "Mixed Reality".

You can edit files both from PCs and from mobile devices on Windows. In the new version also appeared Story Remix - a mode for creating "History", which provides face recognition and full editing.

The Reimagined Photos app now allows you to add filters, text, 3D effects - and soon full-sized 3D objects - and even digital ink for photos and video clips. To get started in the app, select the "Create" button and two or more photos or videos, and the "Photos" app will automatically merge your memories into a video.

The People management system (My People) received new functions: in particular, you can pin contacts of the right people on the taskbar for quick access. For example, you can call them via Skype or send an e-mail file by dragging it to the contact icon.

In the Edge browser, you can now make notes in PDF-files and e-books using the Surface Pen stylus. You can also assign selected sites to the taskbar to quickly open them. In addition, Edge received support for full-screen mode.

In Windows 10 Fall Creators, the company returned to the OneDrive app the ability of viewing files in the cloud. OneDrive Files On Demand allows you to open files from the cloud without full synchronization with the user's device - the system will only download files as needed.

Gradually, in the Fall Creators Update will be available the Fluent Design System, which allows you to create custom application interfaces with the ability to adapt to different types of devices. While the new version of Windows 10 uses only some elements of the updated design language Microsoft, which make switching between apps more smooth. In accordance with the concept of Fluent Design, the notification center was also updated.

You can receive the update by enabling the auto-update feature on your computer running Windows 10. The system will notify you when the update is downloaded and becomes available for installation. You can also install Fall Creators Update manually by downloading the update from the Microsoft website.
